About Core Radiology

Two women are sitting on a cream-colored patio couch, engaged in conversation. One woman has brown hair and is wearing a blue dress, holding a glass of water. The other woman has black hair, is dressed in a red suit, and is holding a folder. They are in a bright, modern space with large windows, indoor plants, and a small white table with books and a potted plant between them.

Core Radiology was founded with a simple goal:

To bring humanised, compassionate care to medical imaging.

As a 100% owned and led by a female specialist Radiologist, and supported by a team of dedicated healthcare professionals, we saw an opportunity to build a practice that truly puts patients first. Built for Australians and operating as an independent, family-led clinic, our priority is your comfort and well-being.

We take the time to ensure you are fully informed and supported from the moment you walk into our reception to the moment your doctor receives your results.

Your Healthcare, Your Choice

You have the right to choose where you receive your medical imaging. We proudly accept all valid referrals, even if your doctor has printed your request on another clinic’s form or letterhead.

We Accept All Referrals

We believe high-quality healthcare should be accessible to our local community. That is why we proudly offer Bulk Billing for majority Medicare-eligible scans.

Our team is committed to complete financial transparency, so you will always know exactly what is covered before your appointment begins.

Accessible Bulk Billing

We know that life is unpredictable. For all general X-rays, you don’t need to worry about making a booking. Simply walk into our clinic with your valid referral, and our team will look after you as quickly as possible.

No Appointment Needed for General X-Rays

We know that medical imaging can sometimes feel overwhelming. If you have any questions about your referral, how to prepare for your scan, or finding the right appointment time, please don't hesitate to reach out.

Our friendly local team is always happy to have a chat and make sure you feel completely comfortable before your visit.

Preparing for Your Visit

We want to make your appointment as smooth and stress-free as possible. When you arrive for your scan, please remember to bring:

  • Your valid doctor's referral

  • Your Medicare Card (and any Concession or DVA cards)

  • Any previous X-rays or scans related to your current issue

While general X-rays require no preparation, some specialized scans (like certain ultrasounds) might require you to fast or drink water beforehand. Our team will give you specific instructions when you book, or you can check our detailed preparation guide below.

Important Information for your Appointment

The information provided on this page is for general guidance only and does not replace professional medical advice. While we are experts in diagnostic imaging, your referring doctor is the expert on your overall health. We always recommend speaking with your doctor before proceeding with any medical scan or procedure to ensure it is the right diagnostic path for you, and to discuss any specific aftercare requirements.

  • To ensure a smooth and easy check-in, please remember to bring:

    • Your valid doctor’s referral

    • Your Medicare card, plus any Concession, Pension, or DVA cards

    • Any previous X-rays or scans relating to the area we are examining

    • WorkCover or Motor Vehicle Accident claim details (if applicable)

  • Any Referral is Valid: You have the right to choose your imaging provider. We proudly accept all valid referrals, even if they are printed on another clinic’s form or letterhead.

  • We proudly offer Bulk Billing for a wide range of Medicare-eligible examinations. However, some highly specialised scans and interventional procedures do incur an out-of-pocket gap fee. Because Medicare rules can sometimes be complex, we strongly encourage you to contact our team prior to your visit, or simply ask our reception staff on the day of your appointment.

We will always provide you with a completely transparent fee estimate based on your specific referral so there are never any financial surprises.

  • Once your scan is complete, our specialist Radiologist will carefully analyze your images. Using our secure, state-of-the-art digital systems, we ensure your comprehensive report and high-resolution images are sent directly and rapidly to your referring doctor.

We always recommend booking a follow-up appointment with your doctor to discuss your results and the next steps in your care.

  • We understand that navigating healthcare can be challenging, and some patients require a little extra support.

If you experience medical anxiety, have mobility challenges, or simply need more time and space to understand your procedure, please let us know.

Our compassionate team is highly experienced in supporting complex needs and will adapt your visit to ensure you feel completely safe and understood.

  • Our South Australian team is here to help you find an appointment time that works for your life.
